Pete Ladis

In his first year as a New Rochelle Dirtbag, Pete led the pitching staff in both strikeouts and wins. As the Ace of the staff, he exhibited poise and leadership throughout each start. In addition to his regular season success, he was appointed to the 2010 WRWBL All-Star team at Dutchess County Stadium where he was lights out in his appearance for Team Westchester.

The Iona College Gael has also made waves in his collegiate career. Making 13 appearances for the Gaels, with five starts in his rookie season, he allowed only one run in two innings of relief in his college debut at NC Central. In his first career start vs. Sacred Heart he allowed four runs in 3.1 innings.  Most notably, Pete allowed just two runs on five hits in 5.1 innings in his start at Fordham University on April 20th, 2010, commonly referred to as “The Fordham Flip” game.

Previous to his collegiate career, Pete was a four time varsity letterwinner at Iona Prep High School and Co-captain in his senior year all while being selected to the CHSAA All-Star game. He held a 1.2 ERA in his varsity career and was a gold medal winner as a starting pithcher for Hudson Valley at the Empire State Games.
